How many times do we see people make the same mistakes that we have made and wish we could have warned them?
How many times do we warn people just to see them make the mistake anyway?
How many times do we see people miss opportunities and think, man do they realize what they are missing?
How many times do we wish we had told someone something whether it be instructional, motivational, enlightening, or even appreciative just to realize we had missed the opportunity?
TITIK (Things I Think I Know) is my answer to passing on the experiences life has afforded me to those I love the most. My girls. I do not claim to be a "know all", if life has taught me anything it has made that fact abundantly clear. But neither am I the outdated dumbass that I thought my Dad was at one point in my life.
It is my hope that they can read through these posts (assuming I actually follow through on this) and glean some bit of information that they can find useful, inspiring, challenging, thought provoking or maybe a note of gratitude that I haven't otherwise appropriately expressed.
At this point in our technological advances using a blog seems like one of the more long term methods of storing this information. It is reasonable to expect this blog will far outlast me and be there for years to come whenever they want to access it.
If someone other than the intended recipients access this blog so much the better. Maybe there will be something in here for you. Feel free to opine if you have a point that may reinforce the topic of a post or if you have a rational point that challenges any of my thoughts that is fine too. Just remember there will hopefully be 2 young ladies occasionally looking at this and it is my desire they always leave the blog enlightened.
